There are the two techniques: The thick outer layer of the skin is gently sanded away using a handheld applicator with an abrasive surface. The applicator gently treats the outer layer of skin in the targeted areas. In the alternate way, fine particles of exfoliating chemicals are sprayed on the skin and then suctioned off. At the end of the treatment, a moisturizer will be applied to your skin. 

Common side effects include mild and temporary tenderness and swelling, as well as redness or minor bruising, which will soon disappear. While no anesthesia or numbing agent is used, the aesthetic effects of this procedure are well worth any discomfort.
